Job summary

SwitchON is a Bangalore-based deep-tech startup seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to drive AI-powered visual inspection solutions with real-time inferences across manufacturing domains.

You will design, develop and deploy CV and DL models using PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV and CUDA, optimize for speed and accuracy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

2–6 years of hands-on experience are required; Bengaluru South location with a fast-paced, research-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of hands-on experience in deep learning and computer vision
• Proficient in Python with strong software engineering practices
• Experience with real-world industrial datasets is a plus
• Strong understanding of deep learning and CV fundamentals
• Experience developing algorithms for image processing, detection, and segmentation
• Familiarity with frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow
• Hands-on OpenCV experience; CUDA and optimization knowledge are a plus

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are looking for a talented and passionate Computer Vision Engineer to join our dynamic team and drive the development of next-generation AI solutions by working on some of the toughest problems in the domain of Intelligent Visual Inspection. As part of the ‘AI and Computer Vision’ team, you will be building and deploying algorithms serving hundreds of real-time inferences per minute impacting manufacturing processes across diverse industries. You will also be part of the research and development initiatives to improve the existing solutions as well as to develop completely new approaches to new problems. You will work both independently and collaboratively with other teams to develop the best possible solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy Computer Vision and Deep Learning algorithms for challenging scenarios in Intelligent Visual Quality Inspection.
• Develop and optimize deep learning models using Convolutional neural networks, object detection frameworks, and segmentation techniques.
• Optimize model performance for real-time inference while maintaining high accuracy standards.
• Research and prototype novel approaches to handle real world challenging scenarios like varying lighting conditions, surface reflections, and complex geometric patterns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to swiftly execute projects.
• Take full ownership of projects and drive them to success.
  

Requirements

Key Qualifications

• Bring 2-6 years of hands-on experience in deep learning and computer vision, backed by a track record of impactful industry projects or academic publications.
• Proficient in Python with strong software engineering practices.
• Previous exposure to real-world datasets in an industrial setting is a big plus.
• Demonstrate a profound understanding of deep learning and computer vision fundamentals.
• Showcase your expertise in developing algorithms for image processing, content-based image analysis, object detection, segmentation, and beyond.
• Solid understanding of deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc.
• Hands-on experience with OpenCV for image processing, feature extraction and traditional computer vision techniques.
• Excellent programming skills in Python.
• Familiarity with Cuda, Model Quantization and Optimization, (ONNX, TensorRT) will set you apart.
• Willingness to pick up novel tasks and find novel solutions.
