Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computer Hardware Technician to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems and hardware components. You will work closely with IT teams and end-users to ensure all hardware operates efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and configure desktop and laptop computers, servers, and peripherals
• Diagnose and repair hardware issues including motherboards, hard drives, power supplies, RAM, and other components
• Install and configure operating systems and software as required
• Perform regular maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
• Conduct system upgrades and replace outdated hardware
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, upgrades, and asset inventory
• Support IT team in setting up workstations, networking hardware, and peripheral devices
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company IT policies

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field
• Proven experience as a hardware technician or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of computer systems, components, and peripherals
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues effectively
• Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and/or Linux operating systems
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or equivalent (preferred)
