Job summary

DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC in Coimbatore seeks a senior leader to head process engineering for composites. The role involves evaluating RFPs for built-to-print composite products, engaging with customers on process planning, and guiding prototype realization, testing and manufacturing decisions.

You will oversee tool and fixture design for composite structures and generate manufacturing/process documentation, driving the team from planning to FAI proveout.

Qualifications

• Lead the process engineering department for composites.
• Evaluate RFPs for built-to-print composite products in Space/Defence domain.
• Engage with customers on process planning, manufacturing tech, prototype realization, testing and other technical aspects.
• Good knowledge of composite product manufacturing technologies/materials/consumables
• Experience in tool and fixture design for composite structures
• Proficient in methods engineering—generating manufacturing/testing process sheets, route cards, approvals from customers
• Lead a team responsible for planning, estimation and realization of the product till FAI proveout.

Responsibilities

• Lead the process engineering dept for composites.

• Engage with customers on process planning, manufacturing tech, prototyping and testing.
• Oversee knowledge of composite manufacturing technologies, materials and consumables.

• Candidate is expected to lead the process Engineering department for Composites Process Engineering.
• Candidate should be proficent in evaluating RFP for Built to Print products of composite materials majorly in the Space and Defence domain & Estimation offers submission
