Job summary

ePlane Company seeks a mid-senior Manufacturing Engineer – Composites to lead design and optimization of CFRP processes for aerospace parts and eVTOL prototype assembly. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, and Design teams to drive producibility and quality.

Responsibilities include developing CFRP manufacturing workflows, material qualification for prototypes, facility layout, equipment selection, bonding and curing methods, and NPI support, with strong GD&T and QA tool knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or related field.
• 4+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in composites in aerospace.
• Familiarity with composite materials, processes, assembly and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CFRP manufacturing processes for components.
• Lead material qualification for prototype certification with cross teams.
• Plan facility layout, utilities, equipment selection, installation and commissioning.
• Specify, source, validate, and maintain capital equipment (CNC routers, ovens, bonding tools).
• Program and operate CNC routers for precision trimming and drilling.
• Oversee bonding prep, surface treatment, adhesive application and cure cycles.
• Manage oven operations, recipe development and maintenance coordination.
• Apply expertise in composite curing and thermal profiles for quality.
• Create detailed work instructions, process docs and tooling specs.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and production for manufacturability and compliance.

Job description

Asa Mid senior Level Manufacturing engineer - Composites, you will be responsiblefor design & optimization of manufacturing processes for CFRP parts,sub-assembly for eVTOL airframes prototype manufacturing & supporting inassembly integration. The candidate will be responsible for interacting withManufacturing, QA, Structural design & other cross functional teams in realizationof composites parts, sub-assembly and prove out.

Roles& responsibilities

• Develop andoptimize manufacturing processes for CFRP components using OOA prepregsystems.
  
• Lead material qualification forcertification prototypes with interactions with Certification &Airworthiness team.
  
• Optimise facility includinglayout planning, utilities coordination, equipment selection,installation, and commissioning.
  
• Specify, source, validate, andmaintain capital equipment such as CNC routers, ovens, and bonding tools.
  
• Program and operate CNC routersfor precision trimming and drilling of composite structures.
  
• Oversee bonding preparationprocesses, including surface treatment, adhesive application, and curecycle optimization.
  
• Manage Oven operations,including recipe development, cycle optimization, and maintenancecoordination.
  
• Apply expertise in compositecuring processes—thermal profiles and material-specific requirements—toensure optimal part quality and structural integrity.
  
• Create and maintain detailedwork instructions, process documentation, and tooling specifications.
  
• Collaborate with engineering,quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and compliancewith aerospace standards.
  
• Troubleshoot production issuesand implement corrective actions to improve yield, reduce scrap, andenhance overall process efficiency.
  
• Support New ProductIntroduction (NPI), continuous improvement activities, and lean/Six Sigmainitiatives.
  
• PerformDFM/DFA assessment of part & tooling design to ensuremanufacturability of airframe systems.
  
• Experience with Excel,PowerPoint / Google suite & PLM
  
• Adhere toproject timelines and budgets and quality of output.
  
• Basic knowledge on costestimation & time study of project execution.
  
• Basicknowledge on QMS, QC tools & Metrology
