Job summary

Siemens Energy India seeks a Component Engineer - Turbines to design and develop core steam turbine components, generate detailed drawings and BOMs, and validate designs for performance and manufacturability. You will analyze NCRs, troubleshoot deviations, and maintain technical docs across the product lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• 2-5 years of experience in component design, preferably in steam turbine design or rotating equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as Siemens NX and AutoCAD with 2-5 years of experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work across functions.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and service engineering is a plus; knowledge of PLM systems (Teamcenter) and SAP is preferred.

Performs design validation through form, fit, and function analyses, resolves quality and manufacturing issues by addressing NCRs and deviations, and maintains comprehensive technical documentation to support product lifecycle and cross-functional collaboration.
