Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a Gas Turbine Modernization Customer Order Engineer to lead upgrade implementations for gas turbine modernization projects (COE engineering). The role requires coordinating technical scope, schedules, and budgets, and delivering BSOL lists, hardware releases, and project documentation.

You will work with a global COE team, lead critical meetings, and ensure successful upgrade execution while aligning with customer and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in gas turbines or equivalent field.
• Excellent knowledge of Gas Turbines including thermodynamics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the upgrade implementation of gas turbine modernization projects (Customer Order Engineering).
• Provide technical clarification of engineering scope for GT core Engine with COE Lead and interface partners.
• Coordinate technical details, schedule, and budget for the upgrade.
• Prepare BSOL list and release hardware for ordering to LTP/PM.
• Lead meetings with LTP, PM, Auxiliaries and Engineering until upgrade implementation.
• Create Master-BSOL for the Engine upgrade scope and ensure testing documentation delivery.

Gas Turbine Modernization Customer Order Engineer is responsible for leading the upgrade implementation of gas turbine modernization projects (Customer Order Engineering).

How You'll Make an Impact (Gas Turbine, R& D, India)

• Leading the upgrade implementation of gas turbine modernization projects (Customer Order Engineering). That Includes:
• Technical clarification of relevant engineering scope for GT core Engine together with COE Lead, Negotiation Team and interface partner organizations.
• Clarification might be based on given negotiation documentation and corresponding tools.
• Coordination of technical details and content, of time schedule and budget for the upgrade.
• Specific Engineering output is:
• BSOL list, cost and time schedule after clarification (COE kickoff phase)
• Release of Upgrade Hardware for ordering to LTP/PM
• BSOLs for project specific retrofit scope of relevant process engineering
• Leading meetings/communication with LTP, PM, Auxiliaries and Engineering till upgrade implementation
• Master-BSOL for the Engine upgrade scope
• Performance Testing and release of testing documentation as applicable
• Close out COE project documentation and tool maintenance
• Leading the technical clarification, acting responsible for the required clarifications/tasks/support and preparation of corresponding BSOL list (GT process engineering).
• Being part of the COE team consisting of Core, AUX and I&C members.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in gas turbines or equivalent field
• Product knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Gas Turbines including thermodynamic understanding
• Tools and Software: Advanced skills in MS-Office, SAP, Teamcenter and PCM documentation
• Customer orientation – being able to think from the customer’s perspective to optimize the technical scope of the project
• Business orientation – being able to think from the perspective of Siemens to optimize the Business Impact of the project within scope of work (customers perspective versus technical necessities)
• Teamwork skills - Be comfortably working with colleagues in multiple time zones in one team and lead team discussions and decisions in fruitful cooperation.
• Networking skills - Ability to establish relationships and build networks in a global team setup, interface with the service engineering component groups, other engineering groups (BOP, I&C) and project management.
• Communication: Very good verbal, written and virtual communication skills.
