SHF Design Engineering is seeking a Communications & Network Lead to oversee our network infrastructure and communication systems. The role combines hands-on routing, system design, and leadership to drive projects and maintain robust connectivity.

The ideal candidate will manage a team, ensure reliable email/VoIP and collaboration tools, and possess strong Cisco telephony experience along with relevant certifications. A strategic mindset and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in network administration and infra management.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewall concepts, and network protocols.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCDE, Fortinet, and Palo Alto are highly desirable.

Job description

Communication & Network Lead will be responsible for overseeing the organizations network infrastructure and communication systems to ensure seamless operations and effective connectivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration, excellent communication skills, and leadership capabilities to manage a team and drive projects forward.

Role & responsibilities

Network Infrastructure Management:

• Monitor network performance and optimize configurations for efficiency and reliability.
• hands on experience in routing like Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) / Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and good at advanced routing concepts.
• Troubleshoot network issues and collaborate with IT teams to implement solutions.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCDE, Fortinet, F5, and PALO ALTO are highly desirable.
• Experience with migrating on-premises data centres to the cloud is preferred.
• Familiarity with O365 Administration, Active Directory, and SharePoint
• Design, implement, and maintain the organizations network infrastructure.

Communication Systems Oversight:

• Manage communication systems including email, VoIP, video conferencing, and messaging platforms.
• Ensure reliable connectivity and effective communication channels across the organization.
• Integrate communication systems with other IT services and business applications

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

• Lead a team of network administrators and communication specialists.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement projects and initiatives.
• Hand on experience on CISCO telephony is added advantage.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in network administration, with a focus on infrastructure management and communication systems.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall concepts.
• Experience with communication technologies such as email servers, VoIP systems, and collaboration tools.
• Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
