Job summary

ITP Aero is seeking a CNC turning operator to run turning machines independently, interpret 2D drawings, and ensure parts meet aerospace component specifications. Proficiency with Fanuc control, G-code and M-code, and tool selection is essential.

The role requires mounting/dismounting parts, performing roughing and finishing, and conducting quality checks against drawings while maintaining clean work areas and equipment.

Qualifications

• Able to operate CNC turning independently
• Proficient in 2D programming for turning operations
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately
• Experience with Fanuc control systems
• Knowledge of G-code and M-code programming conventions
• Experience in aerospace components manufacturing and job works

Responsibilities

• Select cutting tools for machining operations using CNC lathes
• Mount and dismount workpieces on the lathe
• Perform roughing and finishing operations
• Inspect finished parts for conformance to drawings
• Maintain turning lathe and tools
• Clean turning lathe and work area, remove swarf/chips
