Job summary

Haitian Group LTD in Chennai, India seeks a mechanical design engineer specialized in sheet metal for CNC machine tools. You will design protective sheet metal structures and convert Chinese drawings for local production, ensuring tolerance control and high-quality fabrication.

You will participate in trials, rectify issues, optimize structures, and coordinate unfolding drawings, welding and painting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Design & Automation, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Familiar with laser cutting, bending, welding, grinding and powder coating processes; proficient in sheet metal tolerances and bend deduction.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in sheet metal design within CNC machine tool industry.
• Skilled in CAD software, capable of independently completing 3D modeling, 2D engineering drawing and BOM preparation.
• Fluent spoken English.
• Accept short-term business travel within India.
