Job summary

Preet Brothers is seeking an experienced CNC Milling operator/programmer in Uttar Pradesh. You will set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines, including VMC and Horizontal Boring Machines, and ensure parts meet exacting GD&T specifications.

You will develop CNC programs for Fanuc and Siemens controls, select tools and parameters, inspect parts with precision instruments, and collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to achieve daily targets.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC Milling Machines (VMC/HBM).
• Proficiency with Fanuc and Siemens control systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and program CNC milling machines (VMC, HBM).
• Develop, edit & optimize CNC programs for Fanuc/Siemens controls.
• Set up workholding, tool offset, alignment & fixtures.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T and machining specs.
• Carry out milling, boring, drilling, tapping & related operations.
• Choose tools and parameters to meet accuracy and surface finish.
• Inspect parts with vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges & dial indicators.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, wear, deviations & program errors.
• Optimize cycles to boost productivity & reduce tool wear/time.
• Perform first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance & safety compliance.
• Coordinate with Production/Quality/Maintenance to hit targets.
• Maintain records of settings, tool usage, output and rework.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Set up, operate, and program CNC Milling Machines, including VMC and HBM (Horizontal Boring Machine).
2. Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Fanuc and Siemens control systems.
3. Perform machine setting, tool selection, tool offset setting, workpiece alignment, and fixture setup.
4. Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining specifications.
5. Execute milling, boring, drilling, tapping, and other machining operations as per component requirements.
6. Select appropriate cutting tools, machining parameters, feeds, and speeds to achieve the required accuracy and surface finish.
7. Inspect machined components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
8. Ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and adherence to quality standards and tolerances.
9. Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, dimensional deviations, and CNC program errors.
10. Optimize machining cycles to improve productivity and reduce tool consumption and machining time.
11. Carry out first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks.
12. Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
13. Coordinate with the Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to achieve production targets.
14. Maintain records of machine settings, tool usage, production output, and rejection/rework.
