Job summary

Iquest Management Consultants is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in Navi Mumbai to plan machining operations from drawings and work orders. You will set up CNC/VMC machines, load materials, verify settings, and run turning, milling, drilling, and threading tasks with tight tolerances.

Responsibilities include maintaining tool logs, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and quality across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Study work orders, engineering drawings, blueprints, and materials to plan machining operations.
• Set up CNC/VMC machines by installing and adjusting tools, fixtures, and attachments including 3-jaw/4-jaw chucks.
• Load raw materials and components using hoisting/lifting devices when required.
• Verify machine settings by measuring first-off components and sample workpieces.
• Operate CNC/VMC machines to perform turning, milling, drilling, grooving, tapping, facing, and threading operations.
• Monitor the machining process to ensure accuracy, dimensional tolerance, and consistent output quality.
• Make offsets and adjustments in tool positions, cutting parameters, feeds, and speeds as necessary.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges.
• Maintain accurate production reports, tool logs, and quality documentation.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance of machines and ensure proper housekeeping of the work area.
• Adhere to safety protocols, PPE usage, and company quality standards during all operations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and maintain continuity across shift changes
