Job summary

Sunlux Technovations in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to develop and optimize milling programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining centers. You will work with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Unigraphics NX, PowerMill, HyperMill or SolidCAM and interpret complex drawings and GD&T.

You will plan roughing to finishing operations, prepare and prove programs for simultaneous 5-axis and 3+2 axis machining, and ensure tool-path simulations and collision checks are performed to

Qualifications

• 5-axis CNC machining expertise required.
• GD&T interpretation and reading complex drawings.
• Selection of cutting tools, holders and machining strategies.
• Experience with multi-axis programming and simultaneous 5-axis
• Familiarity with aerospace machining practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit and optimize CNC milling programs for 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis machining centers.
• Operate CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Unigraphics NX, PowerMill, HyperMill or SolidCAM.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, machining symbols and technical specifications.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, machining strategies, speeds and feeds.
• Plan roughing, semi-finishing and finishing operations for complex components.
• Capable of preparing and proving programs for simultaneous 5-axis and 3+2 axis machining; communicate process sheets down the line.
• Perform tool-path simulation, collision checking and program optimization.
• Establish machining processes, work holding and tool setting requirements.
• Must have hands on machining experience.

• Maintain CNC programs, tool lists, setup sheets and process documentation to meet AS9100 requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of 5-axis CNC machining.
• Good knowledge of Fanuc / Siemens / Heidenhain / Mitsuibishi controls.
• Knowledge of cutting tools selection, carbide grades, inserts and tool life.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and drawing interpretation.
• Experience in machining complex and precision components.
• Knowledge of fixture/work-holding concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming problems.
• Experience in Precision engineering & Aerospace machine shop is preferred.
• Good communication Skills both Verbal & Written.
