Job summary

Precilayer India seeks a Senior CNC Programmer to develop safe, efficient and repeatable CNC programs for complex components on 3-axis and 5-axis machines.

You will collaborate with manufacturing engineering, machine operators, quality and production teams to take CAD models and process plans through prove-out and into stable production, applying GD&T and CAM best practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelors degree in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing or Tool Engineering.
• Strong experience programming CNC vertical machining centres.
• Proven experience with 3+2 and simultaneous 5-axis machining.
• Advanced proficiency in a recognised CAM platform.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T and tolerance requirements.
• Practical knowledge of cutting tools, holders, fixtures and machining parameters.
• Experience programming complex precision components from prototype through production.
• Familiarity with probing cycles, work-offset setting and tool measurement systems.
• Experience with aerospace, defence, medical or other high-precision components is preferred.

The Senior CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing safe, efficient and repeatable CNC programs for complex precision components manufactured on 3-axis and 5-axis vertical machining centres.

The role covers prototype, low-volume and production parts requiring multi-operation machining, 3+2 positioning and simultaneous 5-axis toolpaths. The programmer will work closely with manufacturing engineering, machine operators, quality and production teams to take components from CAD model and process plan through prove-out and stable production.
