Larsen & Toubro in India seeks a Machine Shop (CNC) Engineer - Technical leader responsible for safe, efficient, and high-quality production on their assigned shift.

You will be the bridge between the shop floor and management, requiring hands-on technical expertise, strong leadership, and effective communication to ensure production goals are met while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure achievement of daily, Weekly and monthly production targets.
• Maintain on time delivery of components as per plan.
• Maintain daily shift efficiency as per the TQM objectives.
• Ensure products are manufactured as per quality standards.
• Reduce rejection rates and implement corrective/preventive action (CAPA).
• Reduce the rework hours.
• Inspections and Quality Checks.
• Troubleshooting and Defect Analysis
• Adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Communication and Reporting of NCs
• Improve overall components Effectiveness and productivity.
• Optimize machine utilization and cycle times.
• Control operational costs by reducing tool consumption, rework and Idle time.
• Achieve targets for cost per component/machine hrs.
• Coordination with Production and Cross-Functional teams.
• Waste Reduction.
• Maximizing Uptime and Minimizing Downtime.
• Emergency Response and Risk Mitigation.
• Plan and allocate manpower effectively across shifts and machines.
• Develop and motivate the shop floor team for performance and skill enhancement.
• Minimize machine downtime through coordination with the maintenance team.
• Support preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules.
