Job summary

Indiana Maritime is seeking an experienced CMMS Planner (SAP PM) to manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and monitoring for FPSO operations. The role will ensure timely preventive and corrective maintenance by coordinating manpower, materials, equipment, and CMMS/SAP PM activities.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in maintenance planning, reliability, and offshore FPSO experience, with hands-on SAP PM and CMMS exposure, preferably BASSnet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in maintenance planning, reliability engineering, and offshore FPSO operations.
• Hands-on SAP PM experience is mandatory.
• Experience with CMMS tools (BASSnet preferred) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance using SAP PM/CMMS.
• Prioritize work orders based on equipment criticality and impact.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, tools and logistics for offshore activities.
• Maintain and monitor maintenance backlog and schedules.
• Generate KPI reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced CMMS Planner (SAP PM) to manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities for FPSO operations. The role will be responsible for ensuring timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance by effectively coordinating manpower, materials, equipment, and maintenance schedules through SAP PM and CMMS tools.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Planning & Scheduling

• Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities using SAP PM/CMMS.
• Prioritize maintenance work orders based on equipment criticality and operational impact.
• Allocate required manpower, materials, tools, and resources.
• Develop weekly, monthly, and shutdown maintenance plans.

SAP PM / CMMS Management

• Create, update, and maintain work orders, task lists, maintenance plans, and equipment master data.
• Monitor overdue maintenance activities and manage maintenance backlogs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance schedules, completion status, and deferral records.
• Ensure data accuracy and documentation integrity within the CMMS.

Backlog & Deferral Management

• Monitor planned vs. completed maintenance activities.
• Track and report maintenance backlog.
• Coordinate approval and documentation of maintenance deferrals.
• Update revised schedules in SAP PM/CMMS following approved deferrals.

Resource & Material Coordination

• Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure material availability.
• Plan logistics for maintenance activities, including offshore supply requirements.
• Ensure timely availability of spare parts, tools, and required services.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

• Generate and monitor maintenance KPIs such as:
• Maintenance backlog
• Schedule compliance
• Equipment availability
• Preventive maintenance compliance
• Prepare periodic maintenance reports for management review.
• Analyze maintenance data and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Cross-functional Coordination

• Coordinate closely with Offshore Maintenance Teams, OIM, Operations, and Technical Teams.
• Act as a coordination point between the Mumbai office and offshore FPSO units.
• Support audits, compliance activities, and maintenance-related reviews.

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in:
• Maintenance Planning
• Reliability Engineering
• Oil & Gas
• FPSO
• Marine
• Offshore Industry
• Experience in FPSO/offshore operations will be preferred.

Technical Skills

• Mandatory: Hands-on experience with SAP PM module.
• Experience with CMMS tools such as BASSnet or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Preventive, Corrective, and Predictive Maintenance strategies.
• Understanding of equipment criticality and maintenance prioritization.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and backlog management.
• Familiarity with maintenance KPIs and performance monitoring.
• Understanding of Oil & Gas/FPSO maintenance and safety standards.
