We are looking for an experienced SAP PM Consultant to design, configure, implement, and support the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module for FPSO/offshore Oil & Gas operations.

The role will involve understanding maintenance processes and translating business requirements into SAP PM solutions covering preventive and corrective maintenance, work order management, backlog tracking, maintenance scheduling, equipment management, and maintenance compliance.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands- on SAP PM configuration experience, with exposure to Oil & Gas, offshore, marine, or FPSO maintenance operations preferred.

Key Responsibilities

SAP PM Implementation & Configuration

• Configure SAP PM functionalities including:
  • Equipment Master Data
  • Functional Locations
  • Maintenance Plans and Strategies
  • Task Lists
  • Maintenance Notifications
  • Work Orders
• Customize SAP PM to support FPSO/offshore maintenance workflows and operational requirements.
• Ensure effective asset hierarchy and equipment management.

Business Process Mapping FPSO

• Understand offshore/FPSO maintenance processes, including:
  • Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
  • Work Order Scheduling, Execution, and Closure
  • Equipment Criticality and Prioritization
  • Maintenance Backlog Management
• Translate business requirements into SAP PM configurations aligned with maintenance and CMMS processes.
• Support maintenance planning and compliance requirements.

Integration & Data Migration

• Support SAP PM integration with:
  • SAP MM for spare parts and procurement
  • SAP FI/CO for maintenance cost tracking
  • Other CMMS platforms such as BASSnet or legacy systems, where applicable
• Support migration of asset registers, equipment master data, maintenance plans, and historical work orders.
• Validate migrated data and ensure data integrity.

Work Management & Scheduling

• Configure maintenance planning and scheduling parameters.
• Ensure SAP supports job prioritization based on equipment criticality.
• Enable effective backlog monitoring and maintenance compliance tracking.
• Support workflows for maintenance deferrals, approvals, and schedule revisions.

Testing & Deployment

• Prepare and execute:
  • Unit Testing (UT)
  • Integration Testing (IT)
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Coordinate with business users during testing and issue resolution.
• Support SAP go-live, deployment, and hypercare activities.

User Support & Training

• Provide functional support for SAP PM issues, enhancements, and user queries.
• Conduct training for maintenance planners, engineers, and offshore teams.
• Develop user manuals, process documentation, and SOPs.
• Support continuous improvement of SAP PM processes.

Reporting & Analytics

• Develop and support SAP reports and dashboards for maintenance KPIs, including:
  • Maintenance Backlog
  • Preventive Maintenance Compliance
  • Equipment Downtime
  • Work Order Status
• Analyze maintenance data and provide insights to support operational decision-making.

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Instrumentation Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Or a related discipline

Experience

• 3 - 7 years of relevant experience in SAP PM implementation, configuration, or support.
• Experience in Oil & Gas / Offshore / Marine / FPSO environments is preferred.
• Experience in brownfield SAP implementation or system migration will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills

• Mandatory: Strong hands- on experience in SAP PM configuration.
• Strong understanding of SAP PM maintenance processes and lifecycle.
• Experience integrating SAP PM with MM and FI/CO.
• Exposure to CMMS platforms such as BASSnet is an advantage.
