Job summary

Quest Global Bengaluru seeks an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation engineer to lead SAP preventive maintenance planning and task list development for complex refinery and process facilities.

You will perform gap analyses, enhance existing maintenance plans, and coordinate daily planning activities, leveraging CMMS and field instrumentation knowledge to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise as Electrical/Instrumentation engineer.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical or related process industries.
• Strong knowledge in preventive, predictive, corrective and condition based maintenance of field Instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience in configuration and calibration of control valves and transmitters.
• Knowledge of loop checking and interlock checking.
• Strong knowledge in preventive, predictive, corrective and condition-based maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of reading P&IDs, Loop diagrams and datasheets.
• Experience with SAP – Plant Maintenance is advantageous.
• Hands-on with CMMS software/tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop SAP preventive maintenance plan and Task lists as per equipment strategy, RCM study.
• Modify/enhance existing maintenance plans and Task lists.
• Conduct gap analysis of SAP preventive maintenance with equipment maintenance strategies.
• Manage day-to-day maintenance planning activities.
• Prepare Crash plans, SMPs, SOPs, checklists.
• Create detailed excel-based work packs with execution steps, materials, tools, isolation plans and other considerations.

Work Experience

• Proven expertise as an Electrical or Instrumentation engineer
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical or related process industries
• Strong knowledge in preventive, predictive, corrective and condition based maintenance of field Instrumentation as well as control systems (Pneumatic/hydraulic/motorized Control valves, ON-OFF valves, Pressure/level/flow/temperature measurements, Machine condition monitoring systems, Process analysers, DCS, PLC and SIS systems)
• Experience in configuration and calibration of different types of control valves and transmitters
• Knowledge of loop checking and interlock checking
• Strong knowledge in preventive, predictive, corrective and condition-based maintenance of electrical equipment (Generator, Power Cables, Transformer, Bus Duct, Switchgear, Motor, Lighting, UPS, VFD, Electrical panels)
• Knowledge in electrical equipment tests (Commissioning/Periodic/Condition monitoring/Emergency tests)
• Should be able to interpret and review technical drawings and documents like P&IDs, Loop diagrams, Wiring diagrams, Layout drawings, Data sheets, O&M manuals
• Experience in Turn around/Shutdown maintenance planning is an added advantage
• Knowledge of international engineering codes and safety standards
• Knowledge of Hazardous zone/area classification, Ingress protection, Temperature classification
• Knowledge of JSA process and HAZOP studies
• Hands-on experience using CMMS software/tool
• Exposure in SAP – Plant Maintenance
• Working knowledge in Meridium, Navis freedom (Auto Desk) software’s is an added advantage
• Strong Knowledge in MS-word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
