Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Instrumentation engineer to lead preventive maintenance planning and task lists in line with equipment strategy and RCM studies. You will work in a cross-functional team, modify maintenance plans, and perform gap analyses against maintenance strategies while managing day-to-day planning activities.

We expect 8+ years in Oil & Gas or related industries, with strong knowledge of control systems, commissioning, and CMMS tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Instrumentation or Electronics engineering.
• Proven expertise as an Instrumentation engineer.
• 8+ years in Oil & Gas, Refinery or related process industries.
• Strong knowledge in maintenance of field instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience with CPMS/CMMS tools and safety standards.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams and datasheets.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cross functional team as a SME for instrumentation.
• Develop SAP preventive maintenance plan and Task list as per equipment strategy, RCM study.
• Modify/enhance existing maintenance plans and task lists.
• Conduct gap analysis between SAP PM and equipment maintenance strategies.
• Manage day-to-day maintenance planning activities.
• Prepare crash plans, SMP, SOP, and checklists.
• Create detailed Excel-based work packs with execution steps, materials, tools, and isolation plans.

Work Experience

• Bachelors of Instrumentation/Electronics engineering
• Proven expertise as an Instrumentation engineer
• 8+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical or related process industries
• Strong knowledge in preventive, predictive, corrective and condition-based maintenance of field Instrumentation as well as control systems (Pneumatic/hydraulic/motorized Control valves, ON-OFF valves, Pressure/level/flow/temperature measurements, Machine condition monitoring systems, Process analysers, DCS, PLC and SIS systems)
• Experience in configuration and calibration of different types of control valves and transmitters
• Knowledge of loop checking and interlock checking
• Should be able to interpret and review technical drawings and documents like P&IDs, Loop diagrams, Wiring diagrams, Layout drawings, Data sheets, O&M manuals
• Experience in Routine maintenance/Turn around/Shutdown maintenance planning is an added advantage
• Knowledge of international engineering codes and safety standards
• Knowledge of Hazardous zone/area classification, Ingress protection, Temperature classification
• Knowledge of JSA process and HAZOP studies
• Experience in preparing SMP/SOP/Check lists
• Hands-on experience using CMMS software/tool

Software & Tools

• Exposure in SAP – Plant Maintenance
• Working knowledge in Meridium, Navis freedom (Auto Desk) software’s is an added advantage
• Strong Knowledge in MS-word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
