Job Description
The Solar PMC Construction Manager will oversee the complete construction lifecycle of a landmark GW solar asset. This role demands master-level execution strategies to handle massive logistics pipelines, multi-contractor EPC frameworks, and extensive civil and electrical infrastructure development across thousands of acres of land.
- 10–15 years of heavy infrastructure construction experience, with a mandatory 5+ years managing mega‑scale solar projects (300MW to GW+ scale). Direct experience with mega‑scale solar park designs in India is highly advantageous.
- Coordinate PMC monitoring within assigned Solar clusters and maintain disciplined work front control from civil release through electrical completion.
- Coordinate work front surveillance; EPC controls execution methodology and labour, while discipline engineers validate technical inspection scope.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan PMC inspection coverage in line with EPC look‑ahead plans and accessible work fronts.
- Synchronize massive, multi‑front civil works, including millions of structural piles, tracking systems, and solar module installations.
- Monitor construction sequencing across piling/foundations, MMS/tracker, modules, DC/AC works, IDT/MV interfaces, Balance of Plant (BoP), SCADA/control systems, and high‑voltage grid synchronization protocols monitored by the Solar Field Engineer.
- Review manpower/equipment deployment, productivity constraints, access readiness and inter‑discipline handovers.
- Coordinate field observations from Civil, Electrical, QA/QC, HSE, QS and Commissioning resources for cluster action closure.
- Escalate material, design, safety, quality or interface constraints to the Solar Site Team Leader.
- Maintain cluster completion, punch‑point and handover‑readiness status.
Principal Client‑Facing Outputs
- Cluster look‑ahead monitoring and constraint log.
- Cluster completion/punch status summary.
