Job Description

The SCM Coordinator will oversee the full end‑to‑end supply chain lifecycle for GW solar and integrated Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) installation. Positioned at the intersection of international manufacturing hubs, Indian ports, and the remote, this role is critical to preventing costly site delays while maintaining rigorous material conservation against extreme local elements.

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive supply chain, logistics or material coordination experience within heavy infrastructure or energy sectors. Minimum 3–5 years of direct experience on utility‑scale renewable energy projects, with a strong preference for large‑scale solar (300 MW+ or gigawatt scale). Direct experience with mega‑scale solar park designs in India is highly advantageous.
  • Monitor solar package equipment availability and delivery logistics so that construction fronts are not disrupted by material shortages or late releases.
  • Track delivery and logistics facts; the Contract and Procurement Lead addresses contractual / change matters, QS reconciles certified quantities, and EPC remains responsible for procurement execution.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
  • Track and report logistics key performance indicators (KPIs) regarding manufacturing, inspection release, dispatch, transit and delivery accuracy along with receipt status of modules, MMS/trackers, inverters, IDTs, MV equipment, cables and balance‑of‑plant materials.
  • Container turnaround times, and port demurrage costs.
  • Compare material required‑on‑site dates against approved delivery forecasts and active workfront priorities.
  • Coordinate factual logistics updates with EPC/vendor representatives and identify shortages, damages or preservation risks.
  • Maintain critical‑material alerts and expedite‑action status for solar package review.
  • Provide delivery evidence to planning, QS and contract/procurement resources as required.
  • Escalate unresolved supply constraints through the Solar Site Team Leader to PMO SCM governance.
Principal Client‑Facing Outputs
  • Solar procurement/delivery status tracker.
  • Critical‑material shortage and expedite report.
  • Material availability input for workfront planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or an Engineering discipline.
  • Certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) are highly advantageous.
Key Competencies
  • Strong site leadership and team coordination.
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making under site constraints.
  • Effective communication with multi‑stakeholders.
  • High commitment to safety and quality.
  • Result‑oriented execution mindset.
Key Focus Areas (Site‑Level Execution)
  • Safe and timely construction of substations and transmission systems.
  • Quality assurance and compliance with specifications.
  • Effective contractor and interface management.
  • Smooth commissioning and grid integration.
  • Real‑time progress monitoring and reporting.
Remote Site Readiness
  • Willingness to work at remote project sites.
  • Experience in large‑scale, multi‑location infrastructure projects preferred.
Alignment with Discipline Leads (Site Level)
  • Electrical Lead: Execution of HV/EHV systems, testing & commissioning.
  • Civil Lead: Foundations, structures, GIS buildings, and site development.
  • I&C Lead: SCADA, SAS, and communication systems.
  • QA/QC Lead: Inspection, testing, and quality compliance.
  • HSE Lead: Safety implementation and monitoring.
