Job Description
The Civil Engineer will manage and supervise all on‑site civil works, structural installations, and infrastructure development for a GW utility‑scale solar asset. This role focuses on executing massive piling campaigns for Module Mounting Structures (MMS), building robust foundations for heavy inverter stations and pooling substations, and deploying vast drainage networks to protect against flash flooding.
- Minimum of +5 - 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience in heavy infrastructure, wind power, or utility‑scale solar sectors. At least 2 to 3 years of direct field execution experience on utility‑scale solar plants (150MW+), specifically driving large pile‑driving and structural foundation programs. Prior experience working on mega‑projects within India is highly advantageous due to familiarity with local soil profiles and material sourcing.
- Provide civil‑work surveillance and readiness verification for solar work fronts and associated infrastructure.
- Monitors technical readiness and installation compliance; QS measures/certifies quantities and EPC executes civil works and corrective action.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor grading, access roads, drainage, fencing, piling/foundations, cable trenches, equipment foundations, control room/yard and OHPL/MCR/PSS civil interfaces.
- Verify dimensions, levels, embedment’s, concrete/workmanship status, reinstatement and workfront handover against approved drawings and ITPs.
- Coordinate civil release of areas for MMS/tracker erection, equipment placement and electrical installation.
- Report nonconformities, incomplete works and site readiness constraints to QA/QC and construction management.
- Support measurement verification with QS through factual installed‑work evidence.
- Track civil punch‑point closure and as‑built input requirements for HOTO.
Principal Client‑Facing Outputs
- Civil field inspection/readiness records.
- Civil punch and handover status input.
- Measurement/as‑built factual support
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
