Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CloudOps Engineer L2 to join our managed services team. This role requires a seasoned professional who can handle complex cloud operations, lead incident resolution initiatives, and drive automation while mentoring junior team members. The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering high-quality managed services to our clients while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Incident & Problem Management
- Lead incident management and resolution for complex cloud infrastructure issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems across multi-cloud environments
- Participate in on‑call rotation and emergency response
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents
2. Operations & Maintenance
- Manage comprehensive patch management programs across cloud environments
- Execute and monitor backup and recovery operations ensuring data integrity
- Implement and oversee change management processes and procedures
- Conduct tactical capacity planning and resource optimization activities
3. Security & Compliance
- Implement security compliance requirements and industry best practices
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in cloud environments
- Ensure adherence to security frameworks and regulatory requirements
- Support compliance audits, assessments, and documentation
- Participate in client technical meetings and provide expert consultation
- Mentor junior team members and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions
- Contribute to technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base maintenance
- Lead cost optimization initiatives and provide recommendations to clients

- MTTR (Mean Time to Resolve) - Target incident resolution times
- Automation Efficiency—Percentage of automated vs manual processes
- Incident Reduction—Month-over-month incident decrease

- Patch Compliance—Percentage of systems with current security patches

Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field
Certifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (preferred)
- Additional AWS certifications (Professional level preferred)
- Relevant cloud certifications from Azure or GCP (advantageous)
Technical Skills
- Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, ECS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation
- Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration
- Networking: Understanding of cloud networking, VPCs, security groups, and network troubleshooting
- Security: Knowledge of cloud security best practices, IAM, encryption and compliance frameworks
Professional Experience
- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in cloud operations and infrastructure management
- Proven track record in incident management, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
- Experience in managed services environment with client-facing responsibilities
- Previous experience in automation implementation and process improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in relevant technical field
- Experience with multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Understanding of ITIL framework and service management practices
- Previous experience in team leadership or mentoring roles
