Job summary

Lunarays Technologies in Noida is seeking a Linux & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (L2) to manage enterprise Linux infrastructure on AWS and Microsoft Azure. You will ensure high availability, perform monitoring, backup, disaster recovery drills, and collaborate with DevOps and security teams to maintain SLA commitments.

Strong scripting skills (Shell/Bash) and IaC (Terraform/Ansible) are preferred, along with virtualization experience and networking fundamentals.

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Linux & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to manage and support enterprise Linux infrastructure hosted on AWS and Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Linux administration, cloud operations, monitoring, backup & recovery, disaster recovery, and infrastructure availability. The role involves ensuring high availability, operational excellence, and adherence to SLA commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) in production environments.
• Manage and support cloud infrastructure on AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Ensure 99.95% infrastructure uptime by proactively monitoring system health and resolving incidents.
• Monitor infrastructure telemetry, logs, alerts, and performance metrics using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Perform capacity planning, performance analysis, and infrastructure optimization.
• Execute and validate backup and restore activities to ensure data recoverability.
• Plan, execute, and document Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and validate business continuity readiness.
• Troubleshoot Linux OS, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure issues.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and implement preventive actions.
• Automate routine operational tasks using Shell/Bash scripting.
• Prepare and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and technical runbooks.
• Collaborate with application, network, security, and DevOps teams to ensure stable operations.
• Participate in on-call support and work within defined SLAs.

Required Skills

• 34 years of hands-on experience in Linux System Administration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux Operating Systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewall basics).
• Experience with monitoring and telemetry tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Zabbix, or Nagios.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions and Disaster Recovery planning.
• Experience in capacity planning and infrastructure performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Shell/Bash scripting; Python knowledge is an added advantage.
• Understanding of high availability, patch management, and infrastructure security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible) is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes or Docker is preferred.
• Exposure to ITIL processes, change management, and incident management.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, AWS Associate, or Microsoft Azure Administrator are desirable.
