Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Operations Engineer to manage, optimize, and support our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, cloud operations, automation, and DevOps practices, with proven expertise in AWS environments. You will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security, while driving continuous improvement in operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Implement and support DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and configuration management.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to ensure optimal uptime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure, cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Use automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Terraform, etc.) to streamline operational workflows.
• Oversee cloud management, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure proactive issue resolution.
• Apply best practices in cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization.
• Participate in vendor management, including contract negotiation and performance monitoring.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
• Document operational procedures, incident responses, and system configurations.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong experience in System Administration and Cloud Operations in a leadership or senior technical capacity.
• Hands‑on expertise in AWS cloud services and architecture.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Terraform).
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles, networking, and monitoring.
• Experience using cloud management and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

• Cloud certifications such as:
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
  • Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
• Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, or similar CI/CD solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in operations.
