Summary

As a Senior Intune/MECM Administrator, a typical day involves managing and supporting Microsoft Intune and MECM/SCCM infrastructure across enterprise environments. The role includes administering endpoint enrollment, device compliance, configuration profiles, application deployments, Windows Autopilot, patch management, Windows servicing, and co-management capabilities. The administrator provides advanced 3rd-line technical support, owns EUC incidents and problems through resolution, and works closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to troubleshoot complex endpoint issues. The role also involves supporting Modern Workplace initiatives, contributing to migration and transformation projects, developing technical documentation, and providing advisory support to customers on endpoint management and security strategies.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME in Microsoft Intune and MECM/SCCM technologies.
• Own and manage EUC incidents and problems, providing 3rd-line technical support through successful resolution.
• Administer and support Microsoft Intune infrastructure, endpoint enrollment, device compliance, configuration policies, and application management.
• Manage Windows Autopilot, Auto-Enrollment, Hybrid Azure AD Join, co-management, and modern endpoint provisioning solutions.
• Administer MECM/SCCM infrastructure, including Distribution Points, Management Points, SUP, WSUS, collections, applications, packages, task sequences, and client health.
• Manage software updates, patch deployment, Windows servicing, OSD, and application deployments across enterprise endpoints.
• Troubleshoot complex Intune, MECM/SCCM, Windows client, enrollment, application, policy, and compliance issues using appropriate logs and diagnostic tools.
• Configure and maintain device compliance policies, configuration profiles, security policies, VPN, Wi-Fi, email, device restrictions, and custom scripts.
• Support Conditional Access, DLP, Exchange integration, certificate-based authentication, NDES, and SCEP deployments.
• Manage application deployment across Windows, iOS, Android, and macOS platforms using appropriate application formats and deployment methods.
• Collaborate with Microsoft and third-party vendors for advanced troubleshooting, escalation management, and resolution of critical incidents.
• Support Modern Workplace initiatives by providing technical advisory services, migration roadmaps, business cases, and implementation strategies.
• Contribute to Intune/MECM transformation, migration, upgrade, and co-management projects.
• Collaborate with project, security, infrastructure, and service management teams to ensure successful delivery of endpoint management solutions.
• Participate in team discussions and contribute to technical solutions for complex operational and project-related challenges.
• Create and maintain SOPs, RACI matrices, SRTs, technical documentation, knowledge articles, and KT materials.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to junior team members and offshore/nearshore delivery teams.
• Work effectively with geographically distributed teams and stakeholders in a large, matrixed organization.
• Ensure endpoint solutions meet organizational security, compliance, availability, performance, and operational requirements.

• Strong understanding of Intune Configuration Profiles, Compliance Policies, Device Restrictions, Security Policies, Custom Scripts, and Remediation.
• Hands-on experience with Intune application deployment for Win32, MSI, EXE, APPX, APPXBUNDLE, LOB, PKG, IPA, and APK applications.
• Strong knowledge of Conditional Access, DLP, Exchange integration, device compliance, and endpoint security.
• Experience with Intune and SCCM co-management and dual-management environments.
• Strong MECM/SCCM experience including Collections, Application Deployment, Packages, Task Sequences, OSD, Software Updates, SUP, WSUS, DP, MP, and client troubleshooting.
• Experience in SCCM infrastructure administration, upgrades, migration, Current Branch/CU maintenance, and endpoint management.
• Strong understanding of Windows patch management, servicing, software update deployment, and update channel management.
• Experience with Windows Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD, certificate management, and Windows Server technologies.
• Hands-on experience configuring VPN, Wi-Fi, email, domain join, and other endpoint configuration profiles.
• Knowledge of NDES and SCEP-based certificate deployment using Microsoft Intune.
• Experience managing iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS device enrollment, compliance, retirement, and wipe processes.
• Familiarity with MDT and Windows image management.
• Good understanding of Azure Virtual Desktop/VDI environments and integration with VMware Horizon or similar technologies.
• Exposure to third-party endpoint management and security integrations such as Jamf, TeamViewer, Nexthink, and related solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, log analysis, problem-solving, customer handling, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound technical decisions.
• Ability to engage with customers in an advisory capacity and translate business requirements into technical endpoint‑management solutions.

Additional Information

• The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Management technologies.
• The candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in Microsoft Intune and MECM/SCCM administration.
• Experience supporting medium to large enterprise or global endpoint management environments is preferred.
• Experience working with global customers and distributed onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams is an advantage.
• Experience in Modern Workplace transformation, endpoint migration, and co‑management projects is preferred.
• Experience with MDT, Nexthink, Jamf, or other EMM/endpoint management solutions is an added advantage.
• A Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience providing voice‑based technical support and handling high‑priority customer situations is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
