Job summary

Airtel Payments Bank is seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Lead to manage our multi-cloud environment across AWS and OCI. This role ensures cloud availability, security, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, cost optimization, disaster recovery readiness, and automation in a highly regulated banking context.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in AWS, OCI, Cloud Security, IaC, SRE practices, and financial services compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT Infrastructure/Cloud Operations experience.
• 5+ years hands-on AWS Operations experience.
• 2+ years OCI Cloud management experience.
• Banking/FinTech or regulated environments preferred.
• Experience managing production-critical cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end operations of AWS and OCI cloud environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Manage cloud infrastructure provisioning, administration, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Drive cloud governance, compliance, and regulatory adherence in line with banking and security requirements.
• Own cloud security posture, IAM governance, vulnerability management, and audit readiness.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) and cloud automation practices.
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-native platform operations.
• Lead incident, problem, and change management activities, including major incident resolution and RCA.
• Manage cloud backup, disaster recovery planning, DR drills, and business continuity readiness.
• Drive cloud cost optimisation (FinOps), capacity planning, and resource utilisation efficiency.
• Collaborate with Application, Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, and DevOps teams to support business initiatives.
• Manage cloud vendors, support contracts, escalations, and service improvement initiatives.
• Lead and mentor the Cloud Operations team while defining KPIs, SLAs, and operational excellence standards.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/MCA or equivalent qualification.
• Mandatory: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).
• Preferred: AWS Security Specialty Certification.
• Preferred: OCI Architect Certification.
