Job summary

Rubiscape in Pune recruits a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to architect and operate a multi-cloud foundation for data and AI platforms. You will own networking, compute, storage, and security across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI, with IaC discipline to ensure reproducibility and auditable environments.

The role demands deep cloud fluency, a security-first mindset, and experience in cost optimization and BYOC deployments for enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience across two or more of AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
• Expert-level Terraform skills including module design and state management at scale.
• Strong networking fundamentals: BGP, OSPF, DNS, TLS, load balancing across clouds.
• Experience designing and operating Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS/GKE/OKE) with networking and storage concepts.
• Working knowledge of cloud security frameworks (CIS, NIST CSF, ISO 27001) and implementing controls.
• Proficiency in Python or Go for automation and cloud SDK scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design and build cloud landing zones and multi-cloud account structures across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
• Own infrastructure-as-code and enforce naming conventions and secure state backends.
• Architect and implement cloud-native security controls and data residency considerations.
• Design multi-region data residency architectures ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Manage cloud cost optimization initiatives and allocate Kubernetes compute costs.

Cloud Infrastructure Engineers at Rubiscape architect andoperate the multi-cloud foundation that runs one of India's most demandingenterprise data and AI platforms. Rubiscape is deployed across AWS, Azure, GCP,and OCI — as fully managed SaaS, customer-hosted BYOC, hybrid, on-premises, andair-gapped configurations — serving Fortune 500 customers with stringentlatency, data residency, and compliance requirements. You will own thenetworking, compute, storage, and security layers that make all six Rubiscapestudios reliable at scale. This role demands deep multi-cloud fluency, asecurity-first mindset, and the infrastructure-as-code discipline to make everyenvironment reproducible and auditable.

Key Responsibilities

• Designand build cloud landing zones and account/subscription structures across AWS,Azure, GCP, and OCI — implementing hub-spoke networking, VPC/VNet design,Transit Gateway / Virtual WAN, and private connectivity patterns.
• Owninfrastructure-as-code for all cloud environments using Terraform — maintainingmodular library, enforcing naming conventions, and managing state backends withappropriate locking and access controls.
• Architectand implement cloud-native security controls: IAM least-privilege roles,SCPs/Azure Policy, network security groups, WAF rulesets, and DLP posturemanagement using CSPM tooling.
• Designmulti-region data residency architectures for customers in regulated sectors(BFSI, government, healthcare) — ensuring compliance with RBI, IRDAI, and DPDPAct data localisation requirements.
• Managecloud cost optimisation initiatives — reserved instance / savings planstrategy, rightsizing recommendations, and Kubernetes compute cost allocationwith Kubecost.
• SupportBYOC deployment engineering: work with enterprise customers' cloud teams todeploy Rubiscape into customer-owned AWS / Azure / GCP / OCI accounts withagreed network isolation and egress controls.
• Establishand maintain cloud infrastructure runbooks, disaster recovery playbooks, andbackup/restore procedures aligned to enterprise SLA commitments.

Nice to Have

• Experiencewith air-gapped or disconnected cloud environments — including private artefactregistries, offline OS package mirrors, and bastion-based access patterns fordefence or government deployments.
• Exposureto OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) including OKE, VCN design, andFastConnect.
• Certifications:AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCPProfessional Cloud Architect, or equivalent.
• Familiaritywith FinOps tooling and experience presenting cloud cost optimisation roadmapsto engineering and finance leadership.

Requirements

• 4+years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience with deep hands-onexpertise in at least two of AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.

• Strongnetworking fundamentals: BGP, OSPF, DNS, TLS, load balancing, and cloud-nativenetworking constructs across major cloud providers.
• Experiencedesigning and operating Kubernetes clusters on managed cloud services (EKS,AKS, GKE, OKE) including cluster networking (CNI plugins), ingress controllers,and storage classes.
• Workingknowledge of cloud security frameworks — CIS Benchmarks, NIST CSF, or ISO 27001— and experience implementing technical controls against them.
• Proficiencyin Python or Go for infrastructure automation, custom tooling, and cloud SDKscripting.
