Job summary

Marklytics Ltd. in Chennai, India is seeking an AWS-focused cloud engineer who will own the cloud infrastructure end-to-end, shaping architecture, security, reliability, and cost efficiency.

In the first months, you will map the current setup, identify gaps, and lead the redesign; later you will own and operate the infrastructure as products and clients scale. The role requires independent decision-making and clear communication with engineering and leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience in cloud or DevOps with AWS as main platform.
• Strong experience with core AWS services: VPC, IAM, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, CloudWatch.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Solid understanding of cloud security, networking and multi-account setups (AWS Organizations, Control Tower or similar).
• Experience designing or re-architecting infrastructure, not just maintaining it.
• Clear communicator and independent, outcomes-focused worker.

Responsibilities

• Audit and document our existing AWS environment, including accounts, networking, compute, data stores, access and deployments.
• Design a target architecture that follows AWS Well-Architected principles and supports multiple products and client-specific deployments.
• Identify and prioritise gaps in security, resilience, observability, performance and cost, and build a practical roadmap to close them.
• Rebuild and migrate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, with minimal disruption to running services.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines with our engineering team so deployments are repeatable and safe.
• Own security and access, including IAM, network isolation, encryption, secrets management, logging and audit readiness.
• Support deployments in different regions and in client-owned AWS accounts, with attention to data residency and compliance requirements.
• Set up monitoring, alerting, backups and disaster recovery, and respond to incidents.
• Track and optimise cloud costs.
• Write clear architecture documentation and be the go-to advisor on cloud decisions for the wider team.

We’re looking for an AWS-focused cloud engineer to take full, end-to-end ownership of our cloud infrastructure. This isn’t a ticket-driven support role. You’ll be the person who understands our infrastructure better than anyone, decides how it should be designed, and makes it happen.

What we’re looking for

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, Security Specialty)
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS or enterprise B2B platforms
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2 or GDPR
• Experience with containerised workloads and Kubernetes
• Exposure to automotive, manufacturing or supply-chain domains
• Full ownership of the cloud platform at a growing product company, with a real say in how it’s built
• Work with global enterprise clients on regulation-driven products
