Job summary

Mphasis is seeking an experienced Cloud Delivery Engineer in Bengaluru to automate, provision, and deliver infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform and Ansible. You will own end-to-end cloud delivery, build modular IaC components, and integrate with CI/CD pipelines to accelerate reliable deployments.

The role emphasizes governance, security, and repeatable processes across engineering teams, with day-2 operations support and collaboration with security and platform teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud engineering with strong IaC focus
• Expert-level Terraform skills including modules, remote state, workspaces
• Strong Ansible experience with roles, inventories, dynamic inventories, and Vault

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Terraform modules for GCP infra including GKE, Cloud SQL, Networking, IAM, and GCS
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management and deployment
• Own end-to-end cloud delivery pipeline: provisioning, configuration, testing, and production deployment
• Integrate Terraform and Ansible workflows into CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Implement GCP IAM policies as code with least-privilege access across environments
• Manage Terraform state backends using GCS and enforce module versioning and registry standards
• Perform infrastructure drift detection and remediation with Ansible and Terraform plan workflows
• Build reusable Terraform modules and Ansible collections for delivery teams
• Collaborate with security teams to embed compliance controls into pipelines
• Support GKE provisioning and day-2 operations using Terraform and Helm
• Participate in architecture reviews and IaC recommendations for new GCP workloads
• Contribute to internal developer platform tooling for self-service cloud provisioning

Infrastructure as Code | Terraform & Ansible | GCP

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Delivery Engineer with deep expertise in Terraform and Ansible to automate, provision, and deliver infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. This role is central to enabling fast, reliable, and repeatable cloud delivery across engineering teams, with a strong focus on infrastructure-as-code and configuration management excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and maintain Terraform modules for GCP infrastructure including GKE, Cloud SQL, Networking, IAM, and GCS
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management, application deployment, and operational automation
• Own the end-to-end cloud delivery pipeline: provisioning, configuration, testing, and deployment to production
• Integrate Terraform and Ansible workflows into CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Implement GCP IAM policies as code, enforcing least-privilege access and separation of duties across environments
• Manage Terraform state backends using GCS and enforce module versioning and registry standards
• Perform infrastructure drift detection and remediation using Ansible and Terraform plan workflows
• Build reusable, well-documented Terraform modules and Ansible collections for use across delivery teams
• Collaborate with security teams to embed compliance controls into infrastructure pipelines
• Support GKE cluster provisioning and day-2 operations using Terraform and Helm
• Participate in architecture reviews and provide IaC recommendations for new GCP workloads
• Contribute to internal developer platform tooling for self-service cloud provisioning

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a strong IaC focus
• Expert-level Terraform skills including module development, remote state, workspaces, and provider management
• Strong Ansible experience including roles, inventories, dynamic inventories, and Ansible Vault
• Solid GCP knowledge covering core services: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, VPC, Cloud SQL
• Experience managing GCP IAM programmatically using Terraform
• Familiarity with GitOps and CI/CD integration for infrastructure pipelines
• Understanding of GCP networking: VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, Cloud NAT, and DNS
• Experience with Linux systems administration and shell scripting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate certification
• Experience with Packer for VM image automation
• Familiarity with GCP-native development and serverless services (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions)
• Experience with Vertex AI infrastructure provisioning using Terraform
• Knowledge of policy-as-code tools such as OPA, Sentinel, or Checkov
