Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited in Hyderabad, India seeks an experienced engineer with 5+ years of experience in databases, automation, and cloud services. You will design and deliver automation for database platforms, applying Python, Java, Ansible, and PowerShell to streamline workflows and enhance reliability.

You will collaborate with global teams in the UK, US, and Asia/ANZ, contributing to an Agile/DevOps environment and on-call rotation to resolve complex challenges.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience with exposure to database technologies and automation.
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, Ansible, PowerShell) and ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
• Good understanding of database concepts, TSQL and automation of database processes/workflows and hands-on experience with cloud database platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Aurora) and supporting automation that uses AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, SNS).
• Comfort with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk) and version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub).
• Strong customer focus, communication skills, and ability to work independently in a global, agile environment.
