Job summary

Iris Software, Inc. is seeking a senior cloud solutions architect to design and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures for enterprise environments.

You will work with Google Cloud Platform, apply CAF and Well-Architected Framework principles, and integrate RAG, vector databases, and LLM tools. This role requires strong communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver high-impact cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, implementing, and managing secure public cloud architectures in large enterprise, government, or financial services environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience; Master’s degree preferred.
• Recent hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.
• Strong understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns, vector databases, and Large Language Model (LLM) integrations.
• Proven experience applying Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) methodologies and Well-Architected Framework (WAF) principles.
• Expertise in core infrastructure services, including DNS, DHCP, network routing, and firewall/security group administration.
• Deep knowledge of secure network, application, and cloud architecture design principles.
• Ability to integrate security tools and controls into enterprise IT and cloud environments.
• Demonstrated success in developing and delivering cloud solution architectures aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Strong understanding of public cloud cost optimization strategies and financial governance practices.
• Broad knowledge of computer, networking, storage, and platform services within public cloud ecosystems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to create clear, comprehensive, and high-quality cloud architecture and technical documentation.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship requirements.
• Strong commitment to professionalism, integrity, accountability, and fostering a respectful workplace culture.
