Job summary

Vlink in Gurgaon, India, is seeking an Applications Support Engineer to join our 24x7 operations from the office. You will serve as the first line of engagement for incidents in the Home Value Stream, managing alerts, triaging issues, and coordinating with teams for resolution.

You will monitor application and infrastructure dashboards, collaborate with Platform and Engineering teams, and ensure minimal service disruption through effective handovers and incident management.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work on 24*7 shift model (Rotational Basis).
• Serve as the first level engagement & support for incidents, escalations for Home Value Stream.
• Understand the problem using alerting and monitoring dashboards and escalations for Home Value Stream.
• Track Alerts/Incident over Jira and Teams for end-to-end closure.
• Monitor Application & Infrastructure Alerting
• Proper Handover to different shift members
• Work closely with the Incident Manager.
• Monitor Dashboards of Application & Infrastructure, Work with Platform and Engineering team to make Dashboards more effective.
• Handling alerts and incidents to ensure minimal disruption of the service.

Responsibilities

Required Skill

• AWS knowledge is must (EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, IAM, Route53, CloudWatch)
• Linux fundamental knowledge is required
• Understanding of Docker & Kubernetes fundamentals.
• Monitoring Tools (Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog, Alert-manager, ELK) knowledge is essential
• TCP/IP network fundamentals knowledge
• Working knowledge over tracking & documentation portals (Jira, Wiki)
• Springboot, maven, java, nodejs framework basic understanding
• Debugging skills required
• CICD (Jenkins, argoCD, Git)
• Incident management Tool (Pagerduty, Zenduty)
• Programming (bash, python)
• TV/Broadband domain knowledge
