Job summary

Vlink in India seeks an experienced operations engineer to manage a 24x7 shift and act as the first line of engagement for incidents across the Home Value Stream. You will understand problems through alerts and monitoring dashboards and coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive resolution.

Responsibilities include tracking alerts in Jira and Teams, monitoring application and infrastructure dashboards, and handing over cleanly between shifts while working with Incident Managers to keep

Qualifications

• Must have strong AWS knowledge (EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, Route53, CloudWatch).
• Proficient in Linux fundamentals.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes basics.
• Monitoring tools knowledge (Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog, Alert-manager, ELK).
• Understanding TCP/IP network fundamentals.
• Experience with Jira and Wiki portals.
• Knowledge of Spring Boot, Maven, Java, Node.js basics.
• Strong debugging skills.
• CI/CD: Jenkins, ArgoCD, Git.
• Incident management tools: PagerDuty, Zenduty.
• Scripting with Bash and Python.
• TV/Broadband domain knowledge.

• Analyze problems using alerts and monitoring dashboards and escalated to other teams, management, vendors or service provider to resolve issue.
• Track alerts/incidents via Jira and Teams for end-to-end closure.
• Monitor application and infrastructure alerting.
• Provide proper handovers to different shift members.
• Work closely with Incident Manager and Platform/Engineering teams to make dashboards more effective.
• Handling alerts and incidents to ensure minimal disruption of the service.
• Proper Handover to different shift members.
