Job summary

EMPClaims is seeking a Customer Success Manager to be the primary contact for customers and coordinate with the Offshore billing team in India to ensure timely, high‑quality billing and RCM support. 5–8 years in office/R CM management at a medical practice or billing company is preferred, CPC/CCS is a plus.

You will oversee charge entry, AR, patient balance resolution, client communications, and monthly/ad-hoc reporting while enhancing workflows and SOPs for each client.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience as a medical billing manager or customer manager in a mid-size to large medical billing company.
• Deep understanding of developing and reporting on RCM success metrics.
• Experience building ad-hoc reports in Excel.
• CPC is preferred but not required.
• Experience resolving patient billing issues.
• Experience with billing systems such as eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, Kareo, AthenaHealth, AllScripts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor charge entry, posting, and accounts receivable for each customer.
• Collaborate with insurance and patient accounts receivable daily to support the billing team.
• Resolve patient balance issues and communicate with clients regularly.
• Prepare and review end-of-month reporting for clients; create ad-hoc RCM reports.
• Onboard new accounts, including setting up EDI and provider information.
• Maintain SOPs for each customer and drive process improvements.

Job Description

As part of this role, you will be the primary point of contact with the customer and work with the Offshore billing team in India to ensure all billing work is completed on time and maintain quality. You will work with customers as their in‑house billing manager to ensure all billing and RCM related issues are managed. Ideally, you should have 5–8 years of experience as an office manager/RCM Manager at a busy medical practice or a billing manager at a medical billing company. CPC/CCS is preferred but not required. You should have a deep understanding of all aspects of Revenue Cycle Management, including credentialing, patient intake, prior authorizations, coding, billing, accounts receivable, and reporting.

Essential Functions:

• Monitor charge entry, posting, and accounts receivable for each customer
• Work with insurance and patient accounts receivable daily to support the billing team
• Work with patients to resolve patient balance issues
• Communicate with clients regularly as needed
• Prepare and review end‑of‑month reporting for clients
• Prepare ad‑hoc RCM and operations reports as requested
• Work with clients to identify workflow efficiencies
• Onboard new accounts, including setting up EDI, payment posting, provider information, etc.
• Prepare and continuously update and maintain the SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for each customer
• Resolve customer complaints or answer customers’ questions regarding policies and procedures
• Takes a proactive approach and effectively communicates with clients
• Collaborate and work closely with the RCM Manager for process and procedure improvement
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–10 years of experience working as a medical billing manager or a customer manager in a midsize to large medical billing company
• Deep understanding of developing and reporting on RCM success metrics
• Experience building ad‑hoc reports in Excel
• CPC is preferred but not required
• Experience resolving patient billing issues
• Experience with eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, Kareo, AthenaHealth, AllScripts preferred but not required
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Contributor to a positive team atmosphere
