Job summary

Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH) seeks a Civil Supervisor to oversee daily civil construction, repairs and maintenance within the hospital campus. You will ensure work aligns with approved drawings, specifications and safety standards while coordinating with contractors and internal teams.

The role requires a Diploma/BE in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years in civil supervision or building maintenance, preferably in hospital settings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in civil supervision, construction, or building maintenance.
• Experience in hospital, commercial building, or institutional maintenance is an added advantage.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of independently handling site activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily civil construction, repair, renovation and maintenance activities.
• Monitor site works for compliance with drawings, specs and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors and internal departments.
• Inspect buildings, walls, flooring, ceilings, plumbing civil works and other structures.
• Prepare daily progress reports and maintain records of materials, manpower and activities.
• Ensure proper material usage and minimize wastage.
• Track project schedules and ensure timely completion of works.
• Identify maintenance issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure hospital safety procedures and housekeeping during works.
• Assist in preparing estimates, material requirements and work schedules.
• Conduct regular site inspections and report defects to the authority.
• Minimize disruption to hospital operations during maintenance and renovation.
