Job summary

PeopleStrong in Chennai seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer to analyze and design heavy industrial steel structures for plants, including boilers and material handling facilities.

Qualifications

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

• Should have experience in analysis and design of Heavy Industrial Steel structures for Steel Plants, Beneficiation Plants, Mines, e.g. SMS, Converter Shops, Slab Casters, Blast Furnaces, Cast Houses, Stock Houses, Storage Bunkers, Indurating & Pelletizing Buildings, Chimneys, Material Handling structures, etc.
• Should be conversant in analysis and design of RCC structures and foundations for Steel Plants, Beneficiation Plants, Mines e.g.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering & construction teams.
• Should be aware of Indian / International codes of practice and should have knowledge of advanced analysis software like ANSYS, Nastran, which will be an added advantage.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:Full-timeMTech/BE/BTech/Diploma/ITIin Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institute.

Minimum years of experience & Industry Preference:

• 3-20 years of experience in Civil & Structural Design Engineering in Industrial Projects.
• Experience in engineering and design of utility systems for: Steel Plants, Beneficiation Plants, Pellet Plants, Mining Projects, EPC Industrial Projects
• Experience in engineering consultancy, design centers, or EPC organizations will be preferred.
