Job summary

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Planning

• Execute RUB & Ramp works including excavation, thrust bed, RCC box casting, box pushing/jacking, backfilling, and approach roads
  
• Plan daily and weekly work activities as per approved drawings and method statements
  
• Ensure works are carried out within approved safety procedure
  

2. Technical & Engineering Works

• Read, understand, and execute works as per GAD, structural drawings, and approved shop drawings.
  
• Ensure correct levels, alignment, gradients, and dimensions during excavation and box pushing.
  
• Supervise reinforcement fixing, shuttering, concreting (RMC/PCC), curing, and stripping.
  
• Coordinate thrust bed construction, jack alignment, and pushing sequence.
  

3. Safety & Quality Compliance

• Ensure strict compliance with Safety & Quality Rules, SOPs
  
• Coordinate with Engineers, Safety & Quality Officials,
  
• Ensure materials conform to approved standards (cement, steel, RMC, aggregates)
  
• Conduct and record slump tests, cube tests, reinforcement checks, and shuttering inspections
  
• Rectify defects and ensure work quality meets client specifications
  

5. Manpower & Machinery Management

• Manage site manpower, operators, and subcontractors
  
• Plan and deploy machinery such as hydraulic jacks, excavators, cranes, concrete pumps, and JCBs
  
• Monitor productivity and control wastage of materials
  

6. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with design consultants, proof-checking agencies, and clients
  
• Communicate daily progress, issues, and requirements to the Project Manager
  

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) and site measurement records
  
• Prepare RA bill measurements, quantity statements, and variation details
  
• Maintain drawings, approvals, inspection notes, and site registers
  

8. Billing & Quantity Control

• Track executed quantities vs BOQ.
  
• Assist in preparation of billing, reconciliation, and final measurements.
  

9. Completion & Handover

• Ensure timely completion of RUB works as per milestones.
  
• Coordinate final inspections and attend Clie joint measurements.
  
• Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and completion documents.
