Job summary

Tractebel is seeking a civil/structural engineer with strong solar/wind project design exposure. You will lead the civil/structural portion of small projects, engage with clients in design reviews, and support pre-bid and detailed engineering efforts. Proficiency in IS codes and international standards is desirable.

Experience with STAAD.Pro and Civil 3D will be advantageous for modelling, grading, and foundation analyses. This role requires on-site work in Haryana, Gurugram area, India.

Qualifications

• Experience in solar plant design concepts including MMS structure and pile foundations.
• Ability to lead civil/structural design on small projects and engage with clients.
• Familiarity with pre-bid engineering, Owners Engineering, and detailed design reviews.
• Experience in Solar PV; wind power experience preferred.
• Proficient with IS codes 456, 800, 875, 801 and 2911; knowledge of international codes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in pre-bid engineering, Owners Engineering and Detailed engineering design.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure design compliance.

Job description

• Must have decent knowledge/ experience of solar power plant designing concepts i.e MMS structure and foundations (including pile foundations), Inverter/ Transformer stations and general civil works.
• Must be able to provide support in pre bid engineering, Owners Engineering (Review of Design Documents) and Detailed engineering design.
• Should be able to lead and manage the civil/ structural portion of small projects independently, including handling client interactions and attending design review / approval meetings with client.
• Some working experience in Solar PV plant is desirable. Working experience in Wind Power plants will be preferred.
• Thorough knowledge on latest IS Codes 456, 800, 875, 801 (Cold-formed light gauge steel structural members) and 2911 (Pile Foundation).
• Good working knowledge of international codes (US / Euro) shall be preferred.
• Good working experience with Civil Engineering Software like STAAD.pro or equivalent as well as foundation design / pile design software.
• Experience of working with Civil 3D terrain modelling software for grading / drainage / road design will be an added advantage.
