Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Civil and Structural Design Engineer for a client in Gurugram, Haryana. The role focuses on reviewing geotechnical data, preparing drawings and specs, and delivering RCC/PEB/steel designs for large-scale solar projects.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelors in Civil/Structural Engineering and 8+ years of experience, with hands-on skills in STAAD Pro, AutoCAD and related tools. IS codes knowledge desirable.

Qualifications

• 14–18 years of experience in structural design with a minimum of 5 years in the solar domain.
• Experience in structural design and execution support for large-scale solar power plant projects.

Responsibilities

• Review of Geotechnical, topographical survey and land selection.
• Prepare in-house drawings and technical specifications.
• Adoption of optimized design and applying technical principles on MMS foundation, structures, foundation, equipment foundations, roads, and other civil works.
• Preparation of design reports and perform structural design calculations based on the same.
• Review vendor design/drawings, RC detailed drawings, Bar-bending schedule, BOQ etc.
• Able to design RCC, PEB, and steel structures.
• Estimate material BOQ, cut & filling BOQ and earth works.
• Resolution of construction queries from site and visit the sites whenever required.
• Demonstrate work management and time management to meet project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications and Educational requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering from an institute of repute.


• Knowledge of IS codes and industry practices.


• Experience: 14 – 18 years of experience in structural design with a minimum of 5 years in the solar domain.


• Experience in structural design and execution support for large-scale solar power plant projects.


• Hands-on experience in AutoCAD, Staad Pro (mandatory), MS Office, Solid Works, and 3D MAX.

Technical Expertise

• Sound design knowledge in solar plant layouts, MMS, transmission tower structural design, main control room, prefab structures, and general civil requirements of large-scale solar power plants.


• Structural foundation design for control room footings, prefab/modular structures, inverter duty transformer foundations, substation equipment foundations, cable trench design, cable trench support design, and 2P/4P power evacuation structures.


• Foundation design for power transformer foundations and substation equipment foundations.


• Strong conceptualization ability with thorough knowledge of Staad Pro.


• Vetting of technical drawings and documents.


• Preparation of specifications, technical reports, BOM and BOQ.


• Capability in RCC, PEB, and steel structure design.


• Knowledge of earthwork estimation, cut & fill BOQ preparation, and construction support activities.
