Job summary

Lanxess India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a senior Civil Engineer to supervise construction activities across foundations, pipe racks, drainage, roads, and buildings in chemical plants.

You will ensure quality workmanship and compliance with IS codes and industry standards. You will plan manpower, control project costs within budget, coordinate with civil consultants and cross-functional teams, review drawings, and support audits.

Qualifications

• BE/B. Tech in Civil Engineering with minimum 12-15 years of experience.
• Civil work experience in Chemical industries and Cogen & utility plant.
• Knowledge of computer specially on SAP, MS Excel, MS Word & Power Point.
• Experience in supervision of quality civil works, cost control and timely completion.
• Experience in working with Civil consultants while designing new project works.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities including foundations, pipe racks, cabling trenches, drainage, roads, buildings and storage yards.
• Plan and execute manpower and spares to ensure timely maintenance and project completion.
• Maintain project costs within sanctioned budget through effective planning and monitoring.
• Coordinate design and engineering; review and approve civil drawings; align with M/E/I teams.
• Manage contractors and vendors; verify bills and work completion; ensure contract compliance and safety.
• Maintain documentation: drawings, BOQs, DPRs; prepare progress reports; support audits.
• Ensure Lexcore directives compliance; close audit observations; implement HAZOP recommendations.

• Planning & execution for manpower and spares availability for timely completion of maintenance and project work.
• Maintenance and project cost controlling by effective planning and regular monitoring within the sanctioned budget.
• Design & Engineering CoordinationReview and approval of civil drawings (GA drawings, foundation drawings, structural drawings etc.),Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams for integrated project execution.Ensure compliance with IS codes and industrial standards.
• Contractor & Vendor Management Manage contractors for civil works execution.,Verify bills, measurements, and work completion. ,Ensure compliance with contract terms and safety standards.
• Documentation & Reporting,Maintain records of drawings, BOQs, DPRs, and project reports. ,Prepare daily/weekly progress reports,Support audits (ISO, safety, internal audits).
• Compliance of Lexcore Directives by ensure the timely execution and closing of all audit observation & non-conformity also plan and execute recommendation from HAZOP and update the documentation and statutory / legal requirement.
