Job summary

LANXESS Deutschland GmbH in India seeks a Senior Civil Engineer with 12-15 years of experience in civil works within chemical plants and cogeneration/utilities. You will supervise construction activities, ensure quality, and coordinate across disciplines to meet timelines and budgets.

The role requires SAP and MS Office proficiency, drawing reviews, and effective contractor management to deliver safe, compliant projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering is required.
• Civil work experience in chemical industries and cogeneration & utility plants.
• Knowledge of computer software, especially SAP, MS Excel, MS Word & PowerPoint.
• Experience supervising quality civil works, cost control and timely completion.
• Experience collaborating with Civil consultants on new project designs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise civil construction activities including foundations, pipe racks, drainage, roads, buildings, and storage yards.
• Plan and execute manpower and spares availability for timely maintenance and project work.
• Maintain cost control and monitor within sanctioned budget.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams for integrated project execution.
• Review civil drawings (GA, foundation, structural) and ensure IS code compliance and safety standards.
• Manage contractors for civil works, verify bills and progress, ensure contract terms.
• Maintain records of drawings, BOQs, DPRs, and project reports; prepare daily/weekly progress reports and support audits.
• Ensure Lexcore directives compliance and address audit observations; plan HAZOP actions.

• Compliance of Lexcore Directives by ensure the timely execution and closing of all audit observation & non-conformity also plan and execute recommendation from HAZOP and update the documentation and statutory / legal requirement.
