Section Head – Civil and Structural Engineering
Location: Andheri (Mumbai)
Experience: 20+ years

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the existing team to deliver projects for clients and continue developing your skills.
• Assist in establishing and monitoring project schedules and quality of design work, including modeling and deliverables for the projects/programs headed by the Project Lead Engineer.
• Review work‑hour estimates and schedules of deliverables on proposals and projects.
• Step in for discussions with Head Office DMs to finalize proposal scope, efforts and benchmarking.
• Provide technical expertise and support to Leads to ensure technical integrity and implementation of region‑specific requirements.
• Help leads identify technical risks and define mitigating actions, involve in major issues and problem solving, and guide implementation of lessons learned.
• Attend bi‑weekly calls with managers of assigned regions, support the Department Manager, and build good relationships with the lead office.
• Act as the ‘go‑to’ person for new work/projects for KAMs, PMs, and PEMs, resolving interface issues by coordinating with other discipline section heads.
• Conduct regular meetings with Project Lead Engineers and team members to review adherence to MS & KS, billability, productivity, schedule, competency challenges, quality issues, risk analysis, KPIs, sustainability, and digital bots implementation.
• Ensure effective utilization of resources, proactive raising of variation notes, and timely concern escalation.
• Function as a Lead Engineer on a dedicated project, connect with other SHs, and promote cross‑learning and sharing.
• Develop IDPs for next‑level succession planning, competency improvement discussions, and support the DM in actions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Civil Engineering degree from a reputable college.
• 20+ years in the Civil Department of a consultancy or technical services department of a refinery, petrochemical, fertilizer, or chemical plant.
• Minimum 12 years in an engineering consultancy carrying out detailed engineering for process/industrial plants in a 3D environment.
• Proficiency in analysis/design software such as STAAD Pro and in design as per Indian and international codes (American, Euro, Canadian, British).
