1. Purpose of Role
Execute and supervise civil construction activities at site. The role owns hands‑on site execution, RCCand structural works, architectural/finishing activities, contractor and labour supervision, quality and safety controls, drawing coordination, progress monitoring, measurements, material control and sitedocumentation, ensuring work is completed safely, as per approved drawings/specifications and planned project requirements.
2. Key Accountabilities
2.1 Site Execution & Construction Supervision
- Plan, coordinate and supervise day-to-day civil construction across assigned work fronts as perapproved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Directly supervise contractors, subcontractors and site labour; allocate daily work fronts, monitormanpower/productivity and ensure proper sequencing and resource utilisation.
- Execute and monitor RCC structure, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, finishing, external worksand handover-support activities.
- Identify and mitigate site constraints, delays, technical issues and resource gaps and escape them to the Project Head.
2.2 RCC & Structural Works
- Supervise reinforcement, shuttering/formwork, concreting, de-shuttering and curing as per structural drawings and specifications.
- Check reinforcement diameter/spacing, laps, anchorage, cover, levels, line, alignment, dimensionsand formwork before concreting.
- Read and verify Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and structural drawings; coordinatediscrepancies/clarifications with the structural consultant.
- Coordinate concrete pouring, slump/cube testing, quality checks and curing; ensure non-conformities are rectified before proceeding.
2.3 Architectural, Finishing & External Works
- Supervise masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, tiling, painting and other finishing works asapplicable.
- Monitor line, level, plumb, dimensions, surface preparation and interfaces between structural, architectural and MEP works.
- Coordinate external civil works, levels, drainage/interfaces, snagging, rectification and handover-related works.
2.4 Drawings & Technical Coordination
- Read and interpret structural, architectural and MEP drawings, specifications and projectdocuments.
- Identify discrepancies, constructability issues and site conflicts; raise RFIs/technical clarifications and follow through to closure.
- Coordinate with structural consultant, architect, MEP consultant, PMC and other technicalconsultants; ensure approved revisions reach the site team.
- Maintain control of current drawings and prevent use of obsolete/revised drawings.
2.5 Quality Control & Rectification
- Inspect materials and workmanship against approved specifications; coordinate testing andrequired approvals.
- Maintain/check quality checklists, inspection requests, concrete/cube records, DPRs andprescribed site records.
- Identify defects/non-conformities early, coordinate rectification and verify closure to minimiserework.
2.6 Planning, Progress & Contractor Management
- Maintain daily progress plans and weekly work targets covering work fronts, manpower, materials,equipment and sequence.
- Track planned versus actual progress, identify slippages and report reasons/recovery actions to theProject Head.
- Monitor contractor/subcontractor productivity, manpower deployment, quality and adherence towork programmes.
2.7 Measurements, Materials & Site Cost Control
- Verify contractor measurements, executed quantities, BOQ items and work completion; supportaccurate RA-bill checking.
- Raise/coordinate material indents and ensure approved materials are available at work fronts.
- Monitor material receipt, storage, consumption, wastage and reconciliation; coordinatetesting/approval and report shortages/discrepancies.
2.8 Safety, Compliance & Documentation
- Enforce basic site safety including PPE, barricading, housekeeping and safe work practices;coordinate with HSE on unsafe conditions/incidents.
- Provide technical/site support to Liaison/Project teams for authority, inspection and compliancerequirements relevant to civil execution.
- Maintain DPRs, checklists, inspection records, measurements, test reports, drawings/clarifications,material records and progress documentation.
- Perform other civil execution, supervision, quality, coordination or project responsibilities assignedby the Project Head/Management.
3. Key Performance Areas / Indicative KPIs
Site Execution & Progress Daily/weekly work fronts executed to plan; planned vs actual progresstracked; delays identified early with recovery actions.
RCC & Structural Quality Reinforcement, formwork, levels, cover, concreting, curing and testing comply with drawings/specifications; avoidable structural rework minimized.
Workmanship & Finishing Quality
Masonry, plaster, waterproofing, finishing and external works meet quality requirements; snags/non-conformities closed within agreed timelines.
Contractor & Resource Productivity
Manpower/contractor deployment aligned to work fronts; productivity, material/equipment availability and avoidable idle time controlled.
Measurements, Materials & Documentation
Measurements/BOQ/RA-bill inputs verified; material indents, consumption/reconciliation and site records accurate and current.
Safety & Site Discipline PPE, barricading, housekeeping and safe work practices consistently enforced; unsafe conditions promptly corrected with HSE.
Drawing & Consultant Coordination
Current drawings available; RFIs/technical clarifications closed timely; consultant revisions correctly communicated and implemented.
4. Candidate Profile
4.1 Experience
- 4–7 years of relevant real-estate/building construction experience with strong hands‑on siteexecution and supervision exposure.
- Demonstrated RCC experience covering reinforcement, shuttering/formwork, concreting, BBS, levels/alignment, cover, cube testing, curing and structural drawing interpretation.
- Experience supervising contractors, subcontractors and labour and coordinating multiple civil workfronts.
- Exposure to residential/commercial, RERA/MahaRERA and greenfield/redevelopment projectswork.
4.2 Educational Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Strong practical knowledge of RCC construction, building execution, construction materials, measurements, quality checks and site documentation.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel is required; software knowledge related to quantity/measurement is preferred.
