Gharda Chemicals (GCL) in Dombivli MIDC seeks a Civil Engineer to plan, execute, and oversee civil and structural work across the plant, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance.

The role requires BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 2–5 years experience, preferably in a chemical setting. You will coordinate with Production, Maintenance, EHS, and HR for permits and contracts, and manage drawings, estimates, and bills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and maintain civil and structural work across the plant, ensuring quality, safety, and statutory compliance.
• Supervise construction of plant buildings, equipment foundations, pipe racks, tank farms, and structural steel work.
• Prepare and verify drawings, BOQs, estimates, and work schedules.
• Oversee acid-proof and chemical-resistant flooring, lining, waterproofing, and repairs.
• Maintain roads, drains, effluent and storm water channels, and boundary walls.
• Inspect existing structures for stability and coordinate repairs.
• Verify contractor measurements and running bills, and check material quality.
• Support Factory Act, MIDC, and MPCB-related approvals, drawings, and stability certificates.
• Enforce safety rules for height work, excavation, confined spaces, and hot work permits.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, EHS, and HR for work permits and contract labour.
• Maintain project documentation and progress reports.
