Job summary

Appletree Building Maintenance seeks a Civil Engineer for a factory project in Haryana. You will plan, supervise, measure, and ensure quality and timely completion of civil works at the Ujjina site, including flooring, walls, drainage, foundations, roads, utilities and finishing tasks.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Technical or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 4-7 years of site-execution experience; industrial buildings or factory projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of RCC, industrial flooring, masonry, drainage, foundations, quantity surveying, and finishing works.
• Ability to read civil, structural, and MEP drawings and use AutoCAD, Excel, and standard reporting tools.
• Working knowledge of IS codes, concrete testing, QA/QC documentation, BOQ measurement, and contractor billing.
• Strong contractor coordination, problem-solving, and written reporting skills.
• Willingness to remain posted full-time at the Ujjina site.

Responsibilities

• Review civil, structural, architectural, and services drawings before execution and highlight discrepancies.
• Prepare daily and weekly work plans, resource requirements, and progress reports against the approved schedule.
• Supervise contractors, labour, machinery, and materials to ensure safe and timely execution.
• Control industrial flooring works, including subgrade preparation, compaction, levels, reinforcement, joints, concrete pouring, finishing, curing, and protection.
• Coordinate machine foundations, pits, trenches, drains, sleeves, earthing provisions, and underground services before floor casting.
• Supervise masonry, plaster, roofing interface, side-wall works, drainage, roads, and other factory infrastructure.
• Conduct and document inspections for line, level, alignment, reinforcement, formwork, concrete quality, and workmanship.
• Coordinate cube tests, slump tests, field-density tests, material approvals, and other quality-control records.
• Verify contractor measurements, quantities, running bills, material reconciliation, and variation claims.
• Maintain site records including DPRs, inspection checklists, test reports, drawings, hindrance logs, and photographs.
• Coordinate with project management, consultants, vendors, electrical/mechanical teams, and factory stakeholders.
• Enforce EHS requirements, housekeeping, barricading, work permits, and safe construction practices.
• Identify delays, quality issues, and execution risks early and recommend corrective action.
• Prepare snag lists and ensure closure before handover.

Role Summary
