Job summary

Reliance Infrastructure invites a Civil Engineer with 6–8 years (degree) or 14–16 years (diploma) of experience to lead field execution on refinery/petrochemical construction projects in Jamnagar. The role covers plot layout, boundary verification, soil testing, concrete work, rebar and formwork checks, scaffolding safety, and daily reporting to project controls.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with relevant field experience.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering with substantial field exposure.
• Experience in Refinery/Petrochemical construction and related layouts.

Responsibilities

• Study the plot plan and lay out drawings and execution of the same in field.
• Coordinate with surveyor to establish plot boundary, initial RL of the plot and quantum of cutting/filling work.
• Sending of soil sample to laboratory for OMC and MDD testing and conduct regular field compaction test.
• Check the compaction utilization of resources; inform superiors on improper mobilization of equipment.
• Filling layer and proper level of cutting / filling activity.
• Verify contractors' DPR and update report to Project control team.
• Ensure day to day execution; study of project standards, specifications, drawings.
• Checking the correctness of rebar bending in yard, certifying BBS.
• Check if rebar binding work and formwork are as per drg and clear cover, spacing, lap length, hooks.
• Check proper scaffolding, staging, handrails, ladder fixing in case of work at height; RA sheets filled and signed off.
• Check proper compaction of concreting, field quality testing of concreting and cube sampling.
• Check surface rendering and finishing for concrete and fire proof surface.
• Check all embedded items (Anchor Bolts, Insert Plates) are in position and aligned/welded prior to concrete pouring.
• Check proper compaction of backfilling, curing.

Job description
