Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Windows Server Administrator in Bengaluru. The role focuses on configuring and troubleshooting Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, DFS, and file services across scalable infrastructures.

You will handle patch management (SCCM/WSUS), OS hardening, and vulnerability assessments while coordinating with customers and teams to ensure reliable operation. The position requires a BE degree and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Windows Server environments.
• Proficient in AD, DNS, DHCP and DFS/File Services administration.
• Familiar with patch management using SCCM/WSUS.
• Experience across multi-domain/multi-forest AD deployments is desirable.
• Knowledge of OS hardening and vulnerability assessment.

Responsibilities

• Configure and troubleshoot Windows Server infrastructure and services.
• Maintain Active Directory, group policies, and AD replication.
• Manage DNS/DHCP and file servers including DFS namespaces.
• Execute OS patching and Windows updates; resolve related issues.
• Plan migrations of file servers to newer OS versions.
• Perform firmware upgrades using Dell iDRAC, HPE ILO, and HPE OneView.
• Engage with customers with clear communication and detailed reporting.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Strong experience to configure and troubleshoot Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and 2022.
• Expertise to analyze windows Events to identify the cause for application/operating system issues.
• Experience in Windows patching using SCCM and WSUS and should be able to troubleshoot windows update issues.
• Hands-on experience on Active directory in the multi-domain and multi-forest environment,
• Knowledge of AD group policies and expertise to troubleshoot AD replication issues.
• Experience to configure and troubleshoot windows file servers/DFS Namespaces.
• Should be able to migrate file servers from older operating systems to newer operating systems.
• Hands-on experience in configuring windows DHCP server scopes/fail-overs and managing windows DNS servers.
• Should have experience in managing large windows Infra in both Physical and Virtual platforms.
• Should be familiar with firmware upgrades using management controllers like Dell iDRAC, HPE ILO, HPE OneView.
• Expert Knowledge on Microsoft troubleshooting skills and tools. Including OS Hardening and Vulnerability assessment.

Roles Responsibilities Essential:

• Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline
• Windows Certification will be preferred.Additional Skills:
