Job summary

Talent Analytica in India seeks an experienced EHS Compliance & Safety professional to lead statutory requirements, testing of lifting tools, ambient monitoring, and RPCB reporting at a chemical manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities include conducting Why-Why analysis for injuries and near-misses, Hazop studies, safety inspections, PPE management, fire prevention, emergency drills, and developing EHS training modules to ensure OHSAS-18001 and ISO-14001 compliance.

Qualifications

• First Class BE/B.Tech with ADIS Certification and hands-on experience in managing Safety & Environment in chemical manufacturing.
• Experience with statutory EHS requirements and reporting to RPCB.
• Strong knowledge of Hazop, risk assessment, and PPE management.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance with statutory EHS requirements including testing of lifting tools and ambient monitoring.
• Perform Why-Why analysis of injuries and near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct safety inspections/audits and follow-up on safety and structural improvements.
• Carry out Hazop studies as team member and ensure PPE availability.
• Develop and deliver EHS training modules for employees.
• Oversee Fire prevention readiness and emergency management drills.

Job description

Compliance to Statutory requirements

• Ensuring timely fulfillment of all statutory requirements related to EHS including testing of lifting tools & tackles, Pressure vessels, ambient monitoring, stack analysis etc. Ensuring proper compliance & monthly reporting to RPCB

Safety Analysis

• Carrying out Why-Why Analysis of Injuries, Non Conformances, near miss & Accident w/o injury & suggesting Corrective/ preventive measures.

OHSAS-18001 & ISO-14001

• Updation of HIRA & Aspect/ impact of any new activity.
• Identification of risks through Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment of all activities.

Safety Inspections / Audits

• Maintaining the records of Internal safety inspection and audit reports.
• Review of the points emerged from safety inspection and audits Safety & Structure Audit of the Plant and its implementation

Hazop

• Carry out Hazop study of new campaign as team member.

PPEs availability

• Selection of appropriate PPEs based on the hazards by conducting the hazard assessment and job/risk exposure.
• Ensure the PPEs are procured in time and made available to all concerned.
• Auditing and periodically assessing to find out effectiveness of PPE. Indenting and procurement of Safety equipment /PPE

Fire Prevention

• Readiness of fire equipment at site

Emergency Management

• Carrying out Emergency Plant drill & suggesting the various functions for improvement in Emergency preparedness.

EHS training

• Developing & imparting specific EHS Training Modules for employees

Preferred candidate profile

Ideal Candidate must be a First Class BE/B.Tech with ADIS Certification having hands on experience in managing Safety & Environment function in Chemical Manufacturing Plant
