Job summary

R.M. Phosphates & Chemicals in Maharashtra seeks a dedicated HSSE professional to coordinate the site’s safety programs, conduct meetings, trainings, inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.

You will lead safety committees, manage records, and perform risk assessments for hazardous materials, driving continuous improvement in plant safety and compliance. Strong on-site presence at the Dhule facility is required.

Responsibilities

• Organize periodical Safety Meetings and preparation of MOM.
• Assign Safety & First Aid Committee members and involve them in safety activities.
• Preparation of Annual Safety Training Calendar, get it approved and implement the same.
• Initiate and organize OHS training, First Aid Training, Mock Drill of employee & executive.
• Celebration of Safety Week, Republic Day, Annual Day etc in coordination with HRD.
• Display Safety Posters. Preparation of Safety Budget and get it approved.
• Maintain record of Safety Material, prepare list of required Safety material and indent the same.
• Distribution of available Safety Material as per requirement & Maintain record for distributed material.
• Enforcement of Work Permit System in Factory. Work permit for Height, Temperature, Live Electrical Work etc.
• Organize Mock Drill and maintain record for the same
• Regular plant inspection and prepare checklist for the same. Risk assessment should be done for Sulfuric acid and Electrical lanes.
• Display safety work procedure as per requirement.
• Complete charge of Internal & External Housekeeping of the plant, Dustbins at required spots all over the plant, Proper disposal of waste,
• Dedicated Walkway to prevent accident with heavy vehicles
• Water Management for Process as well as Domestic purpose. Coordination with MIDC Water supplier team, avoid wastage of Water
• Monthly Cleaning of Drinking water tank & quarterly cleaning of other water tanks.
• Conduct Toolbox Talk on daily basis and maintain proper records.
• Work as coordinator at all levels of management regarding safety and assist them in reviewing and modifying procedures from time to time.
• Guidance, direction & practical in firefighting & resource capabilities in emergency.
• Maintenance/ formulation of check list for PPEs, equipment’s, hand tools etc. before usages & ensure that all tools having valid statutory certificates & maintain in good conditions.
• Conducting risk assessment & enforcing preventative measure.
• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seems dangerous or unhealthy.
• Experience in writing reports & policies for health & safety.
• Strong communication, interaction about HSSE through leaflets, posters, notices, demos, PPT’s.
• Investigate near miss accidents & preprepared reports and monitor the safety aspect.
• Accident/Incident/Near miss investigation, Safety Audit, ISO-14001, 18001, legal documents.
