KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions in Chennai seeks a Chief Technical Engineer / Deputy Department Manager to lead Civil & Structural engineering execution and resource management for global Oil & Gas, LNG, and Petrochemical projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Master's preferred).
• 25–30 years of experience in Civil & Structural Engineering with leadership roles.
• Extensive experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, and Industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE, API, Eurocodes and related international standards.
• Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, SACS, SAP2000, Foundation 3D, SAFE, ETABS and related software.
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and client-facing experience.
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Department Manager in managing the Civil & Structural Engineering department.
• Provide technical leadership for FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, and Brownfield projects.
• Lead the analysis and design of concrete and steel structures, foundations, pipe racks, equipment support structures, and industrial facilities.
• Review and approve critical engineering deliverables, calculations, specifications, and design reports.
• Drive project delivery performance, quality, and schedule compliance.
• Interface with clients, licensors, vendors, construction teams, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead recruitment, workforce planning, resource allocation, and employee development initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and designers, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Support proposal development, estimation, and business growth activities.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and KBR quality procedures.

Title: Chief Technical Engineer KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions

KBR is seeking an experienced Civil & Structural Engineering professional to join our Chennai office as Chief Technical Engineer / Deputy Department Manager.
